SRL APPOINTS FIRST MD OF IRELAND

SRL Traffic Systems, one of Europe’s largest manufacturers and suppliers of mobile intelligent transport system (ITS) solutions to the traffic management, construction, events and utilities sectors, has signalled ambitious expansion plans for its Irish business with the appointment of its first managing director of Ireland.

Dublin-based John Mason will take responsibility for developing and overseeing the implementation of SRL’s strategy to increase the capabilities and market share of its Ireland subsidiary.

One of Mason’s initial priorities will be to expand the size of the Dublin team with the recruitment of additional operatives to enable the company to efficiently fulfil the growing demand within Ireland for the company’s solutions. Earlier this year, in one of its largest Irish contracts to date, the company’s Urban64 integrated traffic signal system was deployed at a busy intersection outside Cork University Hospital to safely coordinate multi-directional flows of traffic and pedestrians.

The former group sales director of global manufacturing group Emtez, has 25 years’ experience in business development and sales, and a strong track-record in developing and implementing successful corporate growth strategies across multiple sectors in both the Irish and international markets.
